"Diversified" or "Diversified Chiropractic Technique (DCT)" is the most commonly used adjustment technique for the spine and extremities by chiropractors, and is often associated with an audible "pop" as joint mobility is restored. It involves a rapid impulse ("High Velocity, Low Amplitude" (HVLA) thrust) into the area of restriction to restore proper joint mobility and muscle tension.
Dr. Stacey, like most chiropractors, was trained in DCT while in chiropractic college at CMCC (2006), and uses it daily in practice when appropriate.
The Activator Method Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) is a chiropractic treatment approach that is an alternative to manual manipulation to the spine or extremities. This technique uses a hand-held instrument ("Activator") to provide a gentle yet effective force to affect the joint and surrounding tissues.
This technique is commonly used as an alternative when manual hands-on care is not appropriate, whether due to patient preference or medical contraindications. It is also commonly used for children as well, as the technique (analysis & adjustment) are excellent for detecting musculoskeletal issues regardless of an accurate description of symptoms.
Dr. Stacey was first certified in AMCT (Level 1) in 2007, and uses it for patients of all ages.
The Thompson Technique is a full-spine adjusting technique that emphasize low aptitude, high velocity, and low force procedures. It is also referred to as a "drop table adjustment" and is highly recommended by chiropractors to treat joint problems of the body using low force. It's also known as one of the most common spinal manipulation methods, which use a specialized drop table with different adjustable segments that cover and support each area of your spine. When the chiropractor applies force on the spine, the table moves down and moves a specific part of your spine, which provides you relief from pain.
Dr. Stacey was first certified in Thompson Technique in 2008, and uses it for patients of all ages.
